Rembrandt Inspired Photographer Recreates Classic Photo

Rembrandt used many different kinds of props. He had a prop closet, so I too wanted to have a prop closet. The cape on the shoulder was important to me - to show that I could show the beautiful folds and the feeling of silk.

That was what I was trying to do - could I make fabric have the look and feel of silk in a photograph and make a photo look like a painting?

The cane signals that ‘I’m important,' representing my personal belief that we are all children of God, and we are all important.
